What you'll learn

If you are constantly suffering from gel polish touching the skin and the colour running off into the creases, you most likely have a bad manicure or you can't properly spread the material over the surface or prepare the natural nail properly, even with the previous gel polish that you have worn down. This tutorial will cover all of these details as I will show you how to sand down a waxed gel polish, how to prepare the nail, how to manicure the skin and how to do a reinforced gel polish.

I will be using Tímár Virág's frasers in this lesson, but I will show you alternatives from different brands so that you don't have to start the lesson with shopping. The Russian manicure is a dry manicure that avoids the use of scissors, allowing you to apply gel polish under the skin without leaving a gap. This makes the client's nails look as if they haven't grown for almost a week and a half. The guest will feel their nails are in demand for much longer and will be more willing to come to you month after month, as few nail technicians have this knowledge.

You will learn these during the course
  • Dry manicure
  • Russian manicure without scissors
  • Enhanced gel varnish
  • Colour gel polish
  • Removal of overgrown gel polish
  • Use of grinding machine, milling cutters
