You'll notice with this nail, this is a very, very old picture, I used a very, very old type of gelac, but with the newer gelac It's also happened that somebody can't, say, apply it well and they see marks on the nail.
So what we're seeing is that in places there are these little bit of these filtering forks on the nail.
On top of actually, the colour, because it doesn't cover well enough with gelcoat.
Now at this point, you either replace the gelcoat because it might be of poor quality, you might be using some old type of gelcoat, or it might be a thinner material, So it doesn't cover that well, it's not very pigmented.
Or you may simply need to change your gelcoating technique.
It's very important not to press the brush down hard on the nail, so be sure to work gently, preferring a laid brush hold, Gently glide the material over the top of the nail to get the material evenly on top of the nail, because if it gets very curly the gelac is going to be applied, then it will be more prominent, or you will see this continuity, because it is very uneven in the distribution of pigment in our gellac.
I would also recommend that everyone uses a strong lamp, put a little more gellac on the surface and you'll be safe, It will cure with a good strong lamp, but enough pigment will be applied to the surface so it won't stain.
